The Great Scientists Program is designed to foster a lifelong love of science by supporting science education among the youth of San Diego.  Leading companies and individuals from the community have come together to support the program in building and outfitting a state-of-the-art science facility for young people that includes cutting edge technology. In addition the program will provide scholarships for children from diverse social and economic backgrounds to attend science-based enrichment programs and summer camps. This program engages children in hands-on, project-based learning about scientific principles  and theory as well as the people behind great scientific discoveries.  By placing equal importance on both the process and content of science education, we hope to study as well as create Great Scientists.
